Coats for Kids Update
Thanks to everyone who donated to the 2022 Coats for Kids Clothing Drive! This year the community donated 116 coats to this cause. Thank you for keeping our area kids nice and warm this season.
The 2022 Coats 4 Kids coat drive ends soon.
Every year, more and more needy children go to school without warm coats. It’s a real challenge to keep our community’s kids properly protected from the winter cold. If we pull together, we can make a big difference right here in our own community.
The Coats 4 Kids coat drive is a great time to get the right-sized coat for your growing kiddos, clean out your closets, and maybe even find a coat at your favorite thrift store to donate. (We will also collect gloves, mittens, and scarves during the coat drive.)
Armstrong Cleaners and Formalwear, G101.3 and WKBV/ESPN are partnering again this year. During this coat drive, Richmond area residents are encouraged to bring in warm coats, in good condition to one of several drop-off locations. Find all drop-off locations by texting the word “COAT” to 765-939-1013. You may also drop-off coats at our Richmond location (1019 North A Street). If you are using our delivery service and would like to donate, put a note on your coat and leave it with your pickup items. (Be sure your note says that is for Coats4Kids.)
